August 2009.........
It has been a crazy summer, but going by quickly. School will be starting in just a month! Alexa has been showing Miata at local shows and doing well. The problem was with out Chevy truck, we just didn't want to drive too far from home, so we went out and traded it in for a gold Ford F-350 diesel dually. This truck should be able to pull ANYTHING!
July 2009....... A friend of ours was in a bad car accident. Brian Hunt is a 30 year old who's shown Arabians most of his life, and started judging shows a few years ago. As he did sustain a head injury with brain trauma, we knew he'd require many months of therapy, so we decided to help. We're putting on a benefit show & silent auction on Oct. 11th at Bound's Arena in Deerfield, with 100% of the profit going to Brian. Contact me if you'd like more info, we still need class sponsors!
June 2009..........We did get a few mares bred and checked in foal this year! The vet was impressed that Leroy, being only a 2 year old, got our first mares bred on the first try. April and May babies next spring!
May 2009..........FINALLY we got Steve a nice grey half-arab! "Close Enuf To Perfect" is a 7 year old mare trained and shown in reining. But, since apparently she's not quite "perfect", she decided to have a confrontation with our boss mare through a fence, and got a nasty deep wound out of it. Soon it'll be healed......(that's her below)
